Trump and Netanyahu Pledge to Eliminate Iranian Threat

President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged to remove the Iranian threat amid escalating military tensions and regional instability in the Strait of Hormuz.

Tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran have escalated following joint U.S.-Israeli strikes that began in February. Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have pledged to eliminate the Iranian threat, with Trump providing a full endorsement of Netanyahu for the October 27 Knesset elections. Trump stated that the U.S. is hitting Iran hard both militarily and economically.

Iranian officials have responded with warnings against further miscalculations. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi challenged the U.S. to attack again, while Major General Ali Abdollahi asserted that Iran remains firm despite previous attempts by adversaries to destroy the Islamic Republic.

The conflict has caused significant maritime instability in the Strait of Hormuz, where the UN reports 6,000 sailors are trapped. Additionally, Iran-backed Houthi rebels have targeted Saudi Arabia and Yemen, prompting remote work orders in Riyadh.

Regional efforts to stabilize the area are underway. Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani announced a forthcoming regional defense partnership focusing on cybersecurity, air defense, and counter-drone systems. Simultaneously, Pakistan's army chief Gen. Asim Munir is traveling to Tehran to mediate the conflict.
