Krishnamoorthi Warns Iran Conflict Depletes U.S. Missile Stocks

U.S. Representative Raja Krishnamoorthi warned that the Trump administration's military and economic conflict with Iran is depleting critical U.S. munition stocks. He specifically cited the depletion of Patriot, THAAD, and SM-3 missiles, arguing that these shortages weaken American deterrence against Russia and China.

Krishnamoorthi stated that this vulnerability invites aggression from China toward Taiwan and may embolden Vladimir Putin to test NATO's Article 5 in the Baltic region. Beyond the Middle East, the congressman introduced the NO Occupation of Venezuela Act to block the use of taxpayer funds for the exploitation of Venezuelan resources.

Additionally, Krishnamoorthi criticized the U.S. response to a glacial collapse and flooding disaster in Nepal. He argued that the current $3 million in aid is insufficient compared to historical USAID responses and called for the deployment of specialized search and rescue teams to locate approximately 100 missing Americans.
