Israel Warns of Great Force Against Potential Iranian Holiday Attacks

Defense Minister Israel Katz warned Wednesday that Iran may launch military strikes during the upcoming Jewish holiday season, citing a historical pattern of timing attacks to coincide with these dates. Katz stated that the Israel Defense Forces and the Israeli Air Force are prepared for both defensive and offensive operations in coordination with the United States.

This warning follows a wave of Iranian attacks on United States military bases in Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the Kurdistan region of Iraq. These strikes occurred after an extensive American bombardment, marking the heaviest exchange in weeks. The broader conflict, which began in February and resulted in the death of Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, saw a fragile ceasefire brokered by President Donald Trump in April collapse after Iranian attacks on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

Katz noted that while the U.S. currently leads strikes against Iran to protect energy security and the Strait of Hormuz, Israel remains ready to act independently. He claimed that the previous Operation Rising Lion, supported by U.S. B-2 bombers, destroyed Iran's nuclear production process, and asserted that Israel will not allow the regime to regain nuclear capabilities.
