Ukraine Targets Russian E-commerce Hubs Ozon and Wildberries

Ukraine targeted Russian e-commerce logistics centers throughout July 2026, alleging these facilities serve as hubs supplying the Russian military with drone components. On July 31, Ozon evacuated its warehouse in Zelenodolsk, Tatarstan, following a drone alert. The company reported no casualties and no damage to the facility. Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukrainian drone forces, referenced the event on Telegram, stating that "the ozone concentration exceeds the critical norm."

Since July 18, Ukrainian forces have attacked more than a dozen warehouses belonging to Ozon's rival, Wildberries. Tatyana Kim, founder and CEO of Wildberries, condemned the strikes as "acts of terrorism" designed to destabilize the Russian economy and cause panic. Kim denied that Wildberries sells dual-use goods not available on global platforms like Amazon or Alibaba.

In response to the disruptions, Wildberries is restructuring its logistics network and coordinating with the Russian government to provide assistance to affected vendors. These military actions follow a July 24 decision by the European Union to impose sanctions on the financial units of both Ozon and Wildberries.
