Zelenskiy Proposes Trilateral Meeting Amid Starlink Service Disputes

Volodymyr Zelenskiy proposed a meeting between Ukraine, the US, and Russia during December's G20 summit while reporting that Starlink speed limits disabled interceptor drones.

President Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced that Ukraine, the United States, and Russia may hold a trilateral meeting during the G20 summit in Miami this December. While Ukrainian negotiators have held discussions with U.S. officials, neither Washington nor Moscow has confirmed the meeting. Zelenskiy identified Europe, the United Arab Emirates, or Saudi Arabia as potential alternative venues and urged European nations to establish their own diplomatic tracks with Russia.

Simultaneously, Zelenskiy reported that Ukrainian interceptor drones are currently non-operational due to speed restrictions on Starlink satellite services. He contested claims that these issues are merely technical, stating that tests conducted within the European Union showed no such limitations.

President Donald Trump denied that he or SpaceX CEO Elon Musk were responsible for any service reductions that hindered Ukrainian military operations. The dispute highlights ongoing tensions regarding the reliance of the Ukrainian military on Space Exploration Technologies Corp. infrastructure during the conflict.
