China Coordinates Trilateral Summit Between Trump, Putin, and Xi
China is coordinating a meeting between Presidents Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, and Xi Jinping during the APEC summit in Shenzhen.
The Government of China is coordinating a trilateral meeting between President Xi Jinping, President Donald Trump, and President Vladimir Putin. The proposed summit is scheduled for November 18 and 19 on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Shenzhen.
The Kremlin confirmed that work is under way to organize the sit-down, while reports indicate that both Washington and Moscow have pressed Beijing to agree to the meeting. Such a gathering of the three leaders would be unprecedented in modern history.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy criticized the prospect of the summit. He warned that the meeting could become a "Yalta 2, 3, 4" used to redistribute global influence and provide Russia with a significant diplomatic advantage.
