Trump to Question Putin Over Alleged Russian Intelligence Aid to Iran

Donald Trump plans to ask Vladimir Putin about allegations from Ukraine that Russia provided satellite intelligence to Iran for military strikes.

President Donald Trump announced plans to question Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding allegations that Russia provided satellite intelligence to Iran to facilitate military strikes. The claims originate from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who stated that Ukrainian intelligence detected Russian satellite surveillance over U.S. military facilities and Gulf states on July 19 and 20.

Zelenskyy reported that surveillance targeted regional air bases in Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait, asserting a clear correlation between the imagery and Iranian attacks. In addition to the intelligence claims, Zelenskyy alleged that Russia is preparing to receive 30,000 North Korean troops to bolster its own forces.

Trump expressed skepticism that such assistance occurred at a high level and described any potential support as having been very unimpactful. He attributed the lack of impact to the fact that the United States has knocked the hell out of Iran.
